We woke up in the morning, cleaning the whole apartment, looking for they key. With no success, we went down to breakfast. We ate breakfast with Om and Jane, as Mihiri and Johan stayed with their parents. Om and I discovered the waffles maker, and although we tried to hide our discovery with the others, we had no choice. Mihiri turned up by then, and we discussed the plans for the day. Mihiri's friend Henry from uni who now lives in London, arrived from the airport, and he joined us on our shopping trip. We went to Majestic City first. This was s hopping centre which actually had a KFC in it. We decided to divide and conquer and to meet in 15 mins. 15 mins turned into half an hour. We had so much fun, walking around the different stores. Many shops had big competition as there was very similar shop right next door. What amused me the most was that they spelled unique 'unik'.
From majestic Cuty, we travelled to House of Fashion. HOF was very cheap, with many clothes just AUS$4, give or take a little. The only problem was was the amount of people. In the tiny store there was probably in excess of 1,000 people. To get past people was like an exercise. It was all part of the experience, though, and it was so memorable.
After that, we walked to a store called Spring and Summer which was owned by the man who took us out to dinner last night. He wasn't in the store, so Mihiri told one of the workers about her connections who then became the most overly nice person, all of a sudden. We bought some things from there, but by that time, the boys had had enough. We drove back to the hotel for lunch.
For lunch we had a buffet, and Om had a coconut drink which we all agreed looked like a mouse/pig. Lunch was delicious and there was so many selections. Mihiri advised me what was best for dessert, including the traditional watalappan, which didn't taste too bad. We sat around for a little while and relaxed. Mihiri, Om and Henry went back to their hotels, while we went into the pool with Jane. We floated up and down the pool until we were shivering and invited Jane into our room to watch a movie. We watched "Becoming Jane" on the tv because I hooked the portable dvd player into the tv. We didn't bother with dinner as we had such a big lunch and breakfast, and we could rest easy because they moved our rooms.
