Today we woke up early and packed. We went down to breakfast before we could pack the rest of the things like toiletries.
Some of us went down to the local market to buy our last few things, and to pass the time, but soon we were in the foyer with all our suitcases. Shirley, our guide from the Great Wall hike met us there with the bus and we piled on all our suitcases and ourselves. The drive to the airport was about an hour long but we were there soon enough.
We checked-in pretty quickly, and were wondering where everyone else was. We had to go through security and immigration which takes forever. It took us an hour in total from check-in to sitting in our gate. We had timed ourselves going through, and ended up only having an hour to spare in the gate. We ordered pizza for lunch, even though it was already 3pm, but we had to wait 30mins to get it. By the time that Dad came back with it, people were already boarding, so we had to eat quickly.

The way that the seats on the plane meant that nobody was sitting with eachother, but Liam and Aunty Robynne. We didn;t have our own tv screens, which meant that we all had to watch the same movie, but all in all it wasn't too bad.
We arrived in Hong Kong and got to our next gate. We had a 3 hour wait in transit.

WELCOME HOME
Hi and welcome home. Didn't that trip go so quickly! Sounds like you all had a fab time. Thanks for the blog Amy - I will miss reading them each day. Enjoy the unpacking and sorting etc. (think of mum who also has to do all the washing/drying/ironing/folding etc) That just makes the trip!!! No matter how good or bad the trip, it always ends the same - with that boredom and sadness of unpacking. Take care, love A Kate

U R a Blogging Machine! hahahaha!
hey hey Fishers, (how about those Pies hey!)

How sad to see you all go (in fonts and photos that is haha) but I'm glad you all had a wonderful and safe adventure...more than that though, I am so happy that I became part of that adventure. Even if it was only for a weekend it was a weekend where I got to meet all of you and to see Andrew for the first time in a long long time.

What a wonderful adventure life really is!

I'm now in recovery mode after my weekend with Guangxi Policeman Brad...both nights were 5am-ers but there was a lot of fun with people from all over the world in the hostel bar. So many stories and happy smiles.

Beers N Noodles to you all....shane
