This trip is already turning out to be more exciting than the last, and we haven't even left the house yet! We decided to write to our local MP, Jason Wood, and see if he could provide something for the school to say thank-you from our Government. We expected the answer to be 'no' but much to our surprise, he replied that he would love to help. He came to our school and gave us the Australian flag he had promised on the phone but then gave us extra bits and pieces to take. Not only did he come, but also a photographer for the Berwick Leader newspaper who will be doing a story on our trip. Look out for us!Jason Wood spent time with us discussing our trip. He was very nice.
With us leaving and still a week of school to go, our labour day weekend was filled with trying to get ahead in all our subjects. Hopefully, our plan has worked and we are not too behind in our subjects when we come back...fingers crossed!
We are leaving for Singapore tonight, and from Singapore, we go on to Beijing. I can't wait to experience it all for the second time. I will fill you all in - watch this space!!!
So until then,
Amy
