Today we woke up to more gloomy skies than yesterday, but overnight, it had snowed, so that meant that it wasn't as cold.
We hit the slopes after breakfast and skied all the way until 2pm.  We have noticed that some of the pine trees that line the runs have been decorated, as if they were Christmas trees.  they're scattered sporadically through the mountains, and it's a little exciting when you see one.  That gave us the idea to make our own.  We collected decorations from the tree at home, and carried them up until we found one that we all liked.  We took off our skis, and decorated the tree.  This was a harder feat than it sounds, as we realised as soon as we took off our skis that we were in knee-deep powdery snow.  We all fell in multiple times as we tried to just make our way to the tree.  It was fun, though, decorating the tree as if it was one in our lounge room.  We later saw another family decorating a large pine tree.  They had guys climbing up so that the baubles could hang from the top.  That is dedication, and, just quietly, put our tree to shame!
We arrived back home for lunch, and we had a spa in the mean time.  It was a daring move, going outside in the freezing cold in such little clothing.  Naturally, that lead to a series of dares of who could jump out of the spa, and sit on the large bed of snow for the longest, before jumping back into the spa.  We all had a go, and your skin burned when you sat back down in the spa.
We ate lunch, and then made our way to Christmas Eve mass.  It was a Catholic sermon in one of the hotels' conference room, and was filled with people. It was an hour and a half sermon, and it was nice to go to Church during Christmastime.
It was snowing lightly when we went back outside, and we walked home. We ate dinner together, with bon-bons and a roast.
We then watched the Polar Express, which we watch every year on Christmas Eve as a family.
Merry Christmas to everyone back home!
