Accomodation here was pretty good with a pool. So I was straight in where I got talking to a slevenian tour group who shouted me a beer or two and gave me some local recommendations.
Went out for dinner with the group and hit the sack fairly early after last nights shanigans.
The next day we visited Monte Alban another Indigenous settlement dating back to around the same time as the Aztecs. The ruins where very impressive located ontop of a mountain overlooking the civilisation. Here we viewed another ball court area where the winning teams captain was sacrificed to the gods. There was also an area where a stem bath was located, planatarium and sundial. This civilisation dating back 500AD practised brain surgery and where able to predict eclipses well into the future. Fairly impressive.
We get a few afternoons free in the tour to explore at our own will. After walking the streets and visting a local market or 3 we decided to sit in the local square or Zocalo for awhile. Realised how much tourists stick out in a local setting such as this one. Also spotted a local market which was the size of a house. Unfortunately we found this after lunch. Purchased a local shirt and hit the sack fairly early again.
The spanish architecture in these little towns is amazing and very old.
