Buenos Dias to all!

We are in Puebla having the time of our lives. Peubla is a great little colonial town with cobbled street, cute buildings and people riding horses. As you can tell by the title of this entry, Peubla has the most beautiful cathedral in the centre of the town. It is ornate, has priceless art work inside and is coloured with gold, white and blue. Every surface is decorated with pictures with the spanish kings taking pride of place above Jesus. Dave and I had to go back a second time just to take it all in..

In the afternoon we went to another pyramid at Choulula which is apparently the widest pyrmid in the world. You couldnīt tell that now as it looks like a big hill because the ruins have been reclaimed by trees etc. The spanish had demolished the top of the pyramid and built a church on top of it.

We got to walk through the pyramid which was cool and afterwards we climbed to the top of the pyramid and saw 2 more volcanos from the top.

On the way back down Dave had a feast of............grasshoppers. Yes, you read the right David Blinco ate grasshoppers. Tasty plain ones, chilli ones and some other flavour. He liked them so much he bought a bagful.

That evening we went out to dinner at Peublaīs best restaurant and had local cuisine - chicken with chilli and chocolate sauce. Afterwards we went out and had some tequila and a salsa where the coronas were 80 cents each. All up we had about 5 drinks each and paid about 8 dollars each.

Davidīs spanish is coming along well.
