Dear All,

I hope all is well.

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter and give you a brief update. My last travelpod was over Christmas and there's been lots happening between then and now. After traveling home for two weeks over Christmas I went to Paris to celebrate the New Year. We stayed at my boss's apartment which was 100 steps from the Cathedral of Notre Dame. It was beautiful, in a perfect location and free. On New Years day I returned to Dubai.

In January I flew home for the weekend of the 28th for Magen Sanders, now Magen Surrec's wedding (husband, Jay). After a most unsuccessful wedding date on the same day Hurricane Rita planned to takeover Houston (Sept 24th) , the second time around was a successful beautiful wedding.

Enroute back to Dubai, I spent time in London for a Forbes conference. I am now the Middle East representative and we stayed in their 10 bedroom house in Old Battersea area. I had never seen so much artwork in a house and so many photos with ex-presidents.

The next couple of weeks were filled with much work, mainly in Qatar and Dubai. Then my long awaited visitors finally made the 20 hour track to Dubai, my mom and brother. They were here for a week and we went to Muscat, Oman; Cairo, Egypt and to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the UAE.

I took them to many places and they got a true taste of the Middle East. We stayed at a luxurious beach resort in Muscat, toured the pyramids in Cairo, wined and dined at the Burj Al Arab, visited the Emirates Palace Hotel and most of all they were able to see what's its like to live in Dubai and how safe this Middle East country is.

Future plans...I plan to stay in Dubai for another year. As of August I will be continuing one more year with my current company.

In the mean time...on the 7th of June I will departing Dubai with an around the world ticket. First I will be stopping in Paris for a couple of days to entertain clients at the Forbes Chateaux two hours west of Paris, then I will continue on to Houston. On the 17th of June I will be celebrating Megan Olive's wedding day. Then I will also be a part of my father's wedding on the 1st of July to Rita Hawkins.

From the first week of July I will continue the journey and head to Sydney with my mom and brother. Jason's 16th Birthday present! Yes, my little brother is driving now....

From Sydney I am meeting Daniel in Singapore and we are traveling throughout China and South East Asia for three weeks.

In mid-August I will be back in Dubai and back to work.

Well that is a brief update. I hope everyone is well and I look forward to your updates.

All the best,

Amy
