You know the junkies, the drug addicts. They go on day by day constantly high. It doesn't matter what the date is, or the time. They have no concept of what time they go to sleep or where they end up sleeping if in fact they do sleep. The days just run together. They can't remember when their last hit was or even when it all started. And it doesn't even matter really as long as the next one is in sight. They usually don't have much money, but the little they do have goes towards the addiction. But they're happy and it soon becomes a life style.
What I'm trying to say is... I feel like a junkie! (And no, I'm not doing drugs). I have no real home and everyday runs together. I live, work, ski, play, and party all in the same place! Every morning we get up, make coffee, get the boats ready, get the bar/clubhouse ready, take a set, pull some skiers, take another set, pull some more skiers, do jobs (like wash boats, change props, time and fix perfectpass, rake the beach, wax the ramp, make sandbags, give ski lessons, clean stuff...), take another set if we're lucky, pull more skiers and then close down, chill out, and fall asleep. It sounds a little monotonous, but it's not. Sometimes we go out in Windsor or the pub close by. Some nights we have movie-hot tub-wine-night (where we set up the computer by the hot tub and watch movies outside drinking wine!), or sometimes we host parties here at our bar (birthday parties and event type things). The majority of the time we just all huddle in the caravan in the back boat yard, watch dvds and fall asleep. There's a ton of events here at the lake though. Sunday night is jump club night (everyone who skis past 6 has to jump and we measure and announce), Saturday is Wakeboard night (only wakeboarding past 6 and we video and have a showing in the bar afterwards), Last Friday we had a club slalom comp. (just a fun 2 round slalom tournament), Every Saturday, Sunday, and Tuesday mornings at 6:30-9 we have open swim (A million-bajillion triathletes come and swim in the lake, and in June on Wednesday mornings we are starting 6:30 a.m. early skiing (guess who gets to head that one up!), and in July we're having a little girls wakeboard club (5 or the 8 or so have matching pink wakeboards!) Oh, and in August we host the London Night Jump Event. It's amazing, I'm sure I'll be talking about that one later. So, even though all the days run together and I never know what time it is, there's never a dull moment!
