Seven hours of bus journey craziness later, we're in a new country, and we set about seeing what's what in Cambodia.
First stop is the capital and a place that encompasses the extreme highs and lows of our travels. We're admiring incredible sights one minute and wondering how to begin to understand the suffering these places and locals have endured in such recent history.
If, like us, you don't know a great deal about Cambodia, most of the last few decades is pretty depressing. Astonishingly the people are brilliantly smiley, even though any of them over the age of 30 will remember Pol Pot's genocidal regime.
Nuff said, after visiting the former school that was transformed into a prison where thousands of Khmer people were tortured before being taken to their death at the nearby 'Killing Fields', we were pretty depressed.
