So as usual my life revolves around HospitalityClub and all the events that people from the club organise and run. This time it was Baiba's (a Latvian girl) birthday party. We had to register long before arriving and it was stated that only 50 people would be admitted to the party - how exclusive! Considering that there are something like 300,000 members in the club that makes us some sort of royalty I guess.
Originally we were going to take the bus there to this small town, Viecumnieki, but then it turned out that Vik's friend Margarita would be happy to let us tag along in the back of her car.
We were supposed to set off from Margaritas house at about midday and we were requested to arrive at 11:30 so we could go shopping for booze and snacks. Food was to be provided at the place. However the other two guys who would be riding alone decided that they would get home at 8am from another party and not be on time. By the time we actually left Vilnius it was something like 2pm. The drive up was mostly pleasant except for the overcrowded back seat. We were in a small Mazda with three people in the back including two wide shouldered men. Vik wasn't too happy being the meat in that sandwich...
So we got there after about four or five hours driving, the last half an hour of which was over an unsealed road which was frequented by tractors. Not a smooth ride...
The property was similar to that of a farm with lots of different buildings spaced out around the property. There was the house, the garage and then this guest house/sauna out the back.
