So today's stand-out experience was the weather; it was humid but pleasant overall. Even though it's the South(where the food is heaping and hearty), we were surprisingly not too hungry. Because of the mid-80s temperature, we got thirsty pretty easily. So when we saw the water near one of the main civil rights landmarks in Montgomery, we were very grateful. In Birmingham, we were looking for lunch when a random guy voluntarily gave us a tour. After he showed us some places to eat, he told us a story of how he was homeless and needed money. We were a little confused, but we gave him some money anyway. Besides that slightly controversial event, it was another fun day. We're looking forward to more great things in New Orleans!
