Where I stayed
Today we checked out and went to see the Alamo where we listened to the history of the Texan revolution and the Alamo. We had no idea that the Alamo is now a shrine for the 189 men who died defending it, amongst those were 4 Scotsmen who's names are engraved in the main building, was really worth seeing.
After that we went to La Villita and had some lunch.
After lunch my swollen arm from the bite was really sore so we went to Wallgreens (a pharmacy) to get something for it. The pharmacist instantly told me to go to the doctors clinic to get a shot as it looks like an infection (which we already knew). So we sat in the doctors office for 3 hours and saw about 3 different people (the medical service over here is shocking) and after convincing the doctor (who has family in Biggar) that I really don't need a Tetanus jag and promising to get one when I return home, he gave me a prescription for antibiotics, then another doctor just had to come in and say that this could be life threatening if left untreated and i'm lucky I went in and told me in detail what this infection is doing to my cells i.e. killing them! I really didn't need to know that! So, after paying $116 just to see the doc and a further $50 for my meds I should be better soon. Thank god for insurance!
We then hoped in the car and drove a couple hours and have stopped for the night in Sonora, we will get up early tomorrow and boot through to Roswell to see some aliens!
