Later on we went to see Steamboat Natchez and arrived in perfect time to see it return to port.
Last night we went further out to Frenchman Street where the first ever jazz bar is located and we listened to jazz like you have never heard it before.
Having seen everything here in record time we are now packing up once again and heading to Houston.
Roll on Texas, Yeeeee Haaaaar!
Hi all. So yesterday we went on a mini bus tour and saw slot of the French Quarter which is beautiful, amazing buildings. We saw the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina where alot of buildings are still in ruins due to the fact that the new levy is not strong enough to withstand a category 3 hurricane, the barges had burst through the old levy and crushed everything in it's path so the home owners are scared to rebuild as it may happen again. We saw the project run by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to rebuild homes with a difference including the first ever floating home that rises like a boat when the area is flooded. We saw evidence of how high the water got, 23 feet! So flooded that the news teams thought it was a lake so they didnt cover it on the news. We also saw the garden district which is the wealthy area where we saw the home of Sandra Bulloch and the home where they filmed Benjamin Button. We saw one of there many cemeteries and this was the one they filmed Double Jeopardy.
