Rainy miserable walking today. And a large portion of it was along roads too, which isn't my favorite way to go.
On the plus side we came to a neat little museum in Amherst. I wasn't able to take Anna into the museum proper, but the did allow me to take her outside into their historic village. Throughout the years the museum had acquired any of the historic buildings from the area that were scheduled to be destroyed and brought them here to Amherst, where they were lovingly restored. They've set them up in a large area behind the museum, and you can walk along paths and check out the various buildings.
There were two different schoolhouses, a barbershop, church, blacksmith, and several different kinds of homesteads. Very neat place.
When we finished looking around the museum I headed back inside to ask the workers if they knew of a place I could set up camp for the night. One guy ended up giving me a ride into Buffalo to a hotel. Excellent, since it is once again rainy and storming out!
