--My first weekend Krissa and Andrew took me to Baltimore to watch the Preakness horse race, which is one of three in the Triple Crown. It was not was I expected, but I loved how everyone gets decked out in their big hats and cute dresses. There were a lot of people and a lot of betting. The horses were gorgeous.
--Went and stayed with Amara’s friend in Hampton, VA. We went to the Pirate Festival, which was a little cheesy but totally worth it.
--In the same trip we went across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, which is the longest Tunnel/Bridge in the US (maybe the world). It’s mostly a bridge, but where ships need to cross it goes underneath the water. It was crazy and really fun.
--We ended the trip by going to Virginia Beach. For how much goes on there and how many people there were, it was surprisingly clean and pretty. We ate a yummy pizza place and then got ice cream afterwards. I would go here again.
--Calvin and I went to Williamsburg, Va to go to Busch Gardens. We also went to Water Country USA, which is technically still Busch Gardens. It was only a 2 1/2 hr drive, and was a really cute old town. We walked downtown one of the nights.
