Where I stayed
The MV Explorer
After leaving Morocco the ship needed to get fuel so we stoped at Las Palmas of the Canary Islands which is considered the providence of Spain. We did not get off the ship but the happenings in between Morocco were somewhat interesting.
1.) I got to personally meet Desmond Tutu and take a picture with him. I also got to tell him my Grandfather admired him very much. He also expressed his displeasure in the black students always eating together. He refers to us as" the Black Table." This is understandable for someone who spent so much of his life trying to end apartheid and we are still segregating ourselves.
2.) I got to steer this ship!! LOL well not really. It was on auto pilot and I got to touch the wheel. But it was still fun.
