Accommodation

If you do get stuck in Canchaque then there are three or four basic places to stay, all of which are ridiculously overpriced. The best of the bunch was Hostal Rayson. 

The leg between Canchaque and Huancabamba offers wonderful panoramas of the rugged Andes mountain range.
