Our flights yesterday went like clockwork and we discovered that when you fly with BA (not a cheapie charter airline) you get enough space to stretch your legs, an individual video screen with 30 films to choose from, free food AND free drinks!  Bit of a shock to the system, though, when we stepped outside into the 95 degree heat - that was when we knew we weren't in Buxton any more.  Amanda's dad picked us up at the airport and we were in the busy metropolis (not) that is Orange, Virginia a couple of hours later with nice cold beers in our hands.


Today we went on a shopping expedition to get camping kitchen supplies.  Our first stop was D&J's Thrift Store, a cornucopia of the most bizarre collection of 2nd hand stuff you've ever seen.  We got a fab saucepan & lid for $2, a big frying pan lid for 50 cents, 2 glasses for 25 cents each and 2 mugs for 10 cents each.  If only the rest of our trip works out this cheap we'll be laughing.
