Show trip route
What I did
Tips: Disneyland is pretty ok. Outside Food/Drink is allowed. Very expensive within the premises' stores/restaurants. Arrive early since all rides have significant wait times. The "most annoying" aspect is that the counter staff at each ride admit "Disney FastPass" holders (an extra paid service to skip lines) in an indiscriminate fashion. E.g. Pooh's ride - we wait for almost 30 mins and the line snakes along slowly with about 150 folks in line. This lady at the entrance admits 50 folks (understatement) with the Fast Pass ride and the delay doubles (arrgh !).
Most of the theatrical shows (live performances) are in Chinese with no translation/ alternate facility for tourists. We sit without a clue and are left to discern what we can while watching the show, which was spectacular otherwise. An international attraction could/should run shows in English.
The park is supposed to close by 8 pm. But most rides water were down by 6:30 pm with the staff abandoning their equipment (i.e. jungle boat ride - all the boats except for one or two were tied down and folks were made to wait in lines for 45 mins). So, please reach the park on dot and u'd have enough time.
The fireworks (crowds gather on main street in front of the Fantasyland castle and the fireworks are lit from behind the castle) were simply superb and a treat to watch. This brings the evening to a close and we drag ourselves with the milling crowds back to HK island and onward to Ibis North Point.
