Where I stayed
Indian Lake State Park

We had a good sleep last night (thanks to our beloved air-conditioner) and it was a nice peaceful RV park with noise. We managed to get away by 8.30 towards Lakeview, Ohio, where we are getting our RV outfitted with slide awnings, and it is already 25 degrees, so it's going to be another scorcher today! 10am and it's 29 degrees, wonder if it'll get hotter...!? Arrived at Lakeview, and dropped RV off. We drove into Lakeview itself, but it's a very small town, so we went along the road only 2 minutes away and there was the usual McDonalds etc, but we decided to eat at this diner type restaurant called 'Aunt Milly's Restaurant.' After lunch we cruised around trying to find a campground to stay in (most were full) but we finally found a site at the Indian Lake State park/campground http://indianlake.com/park.htm - it's a beautiful landscaped campground with plenty of room and not all cramped like the other ones we pulled into. We all had a nice swim in the lake there to cool off.
After picking up the 5th wheel we came back to the campsite, and cooked dinner. Later we took the kids to the little playground, and Josh & Fred had a game of mini-golf (at Josh's insistence) in the fading light. Sunset here was beautiful, dusky pink light and crickets chirping madly (and lots of little biting insects, but we won't spoil the mood...!) When we got back to the 5th wheel Fred set up the new telescope that we bought in New York and we got an amazing view of the half moon - we could see all the bumps and craters. Kate said the moon looked like a big chip!

Alligators
Hi all,
hope you checked for alligators in the lake before swimming. Awesome looking RV park though, so spacious. Doesnt look like a drive through site though Fred, is it getting any easier to reverse the rig? Did you get the slide toppers fitted ok, as I cannot seem to see them in the photo? Bet your high capacity air conditioning is a godsend, any thoughts of getting the optional second unit fitted yet. Happy travels. - M.G. -
