Whispering Winds campground

Went to Bob Evans Restaurant (by our hotel in Niagara) for breakfast - very nice food, reasonably priced & good service. Then off into Buffalo itself to pick our 5th wheel up - at last! We managed to get away from Buffalo on schedule, and drove to Fredonia, Pennsylvania (gee, wonder who wanted to go there...!) where we had lunch in the Walmart parking lot (inside the 5th Wheel of course) and then had a major shop in Walmart for everything we needed to kit the 5th wheel out - plus another shop of groceries. We only got lost once today - but it could have been a major disaster, as we nearly turned down a one way street that sloped downhill - we would never have been able to back up! Then being lost, we kept going down roads that had low railway bridges at the end of them that we couldn't fit under! But eventually we got back on track and arrived at our intended campground 'Whispering Winds' in Sheffield, Pennsylvania www.whisperingwindspa.com
It was pouring with rain when we arrived just on six, so the kids couldn't go out and play. The guy running the camp was a ex-Londoner, a really nice guy and very helpful to us - and happy to talk to some other Commonwealth folk. I had a nice chat with him, and he was telling me about all the animals that visit the campground - black bear, deer, racoons, chipmunks & even porcupines (however, we didn't see any, though not for lack of trying on Josh's part). We had a really peaceful night's sleep here, just the sound of crickets - the quietest night we've had in the U.S.A.

Awesome family pic.
Hi all,
glad to see you are finally on the road at last. Awesome pic of you all with your 5th wheel at the storage depot, but looks rather cold. How do Josh and Katie like their new home, and are you able to get a good sleep in it? Try not to take too many wrong turns, as can they take forever to recover from. How is the colour scheme in the 5th wheel Tracy, I hope it is to your liking?
Anyway, keep those reports rolling in, now that I have got the hang of using this travel log. Happy 5th wheeling. - M.G. -
