Winnipeg Walk 1 (YRE 043) : Nice walk / busy street / Walk through the old Market Square / Past Concert Hall and Museum / Many city street walks / don't forget sightseeing at the Forks Market. and findly the Louis Riel statue in front of the legislature building. Winnipeg Walk 2 (YRE 126) : Provincial Legilature Building / Many city Street walks and gravel walkways. Cross MarylandBridge and a nice footbridge over Assiniboine river. Yellowhead Route Walks
Selkirk: Selkirk is 30 mins from Winnipeg. There is not one but two lighthouses in Selkirk. The Red River Lighthouse was built in1904 It ceased operations in 1992.
The Bear Island Lighthouse was built in 1898 on Black Bear Island about 100 miles north of Selkirk.
You can walk the Red Wing Trail for 2.4km There is a map of the trail.
You can also walk across the Selkirk Bridge and back.
On your way back make sure to check on your left for the Cenotaph Statue. This is not indicated on the map and it's easy to miss.
