Depuis le 6 juillet, je sejourne au refuge pour enfants de Khazimula situe pres d'un petit village appele Lidgetton dans la province de Kwazulu-Natal.
Khazimula aide des enfants en (grande) difficulte. Certains sont orphelins, d'autres ont toujours leur pere ou mere ou d'autres membres de leur famille qui pourraient s'occuper d'eux. Malheureusement, pour raisons divers, ils ne sont pas capables de s'occuper des enfants correctement.
Pour le moment 15 enfants ages de 6 a 16 ans sont heberges au centre. Chacun d'eux a une histoire difficile. Ils vont tous a l'ecole mais, a cause de leur situation, la plupart ont deja recommence la meme annee scolaire quelques fois, ce qui n'est pas de bonne augure pour leur future. Malgre tout ils sont tres courageux et, inter-agir avec eux et les personnes qui travaillent au refuge, est un reel plaisir et une lecon de vie.
L'argent ou plutot le manque d'argent test un souci permament et le refuge est plus qu'en danger.
Plus que 10 jours avant de quitter le centre. Je ne veux rien promettre mais je vais essayer d'aider Khazimula une fois de retour a la maison. Je voulais juste partager avec vous, via ce blog, quelques impressions et informations a propos de Khazimula. Il est fort probable que j'ecrive plus a ce sujet dans un future (proche ou lointain). Cette exprience est vraiment interessante et je suis contente d'etre ici.
J'espere que la chaleur n'est pas trop etouffante en Europe et que tout le monde va bien. Ici il fait assez fraid, surtout pendant la nuit.

Since July 6 I have been staying at the Khazimula children's shelter located close to a small village called Ligetton in the province of Kwazulu-Natal.
Khazimula is supporting children in difficulties. Some of them are orphaned, some others still have their father or mother or relatives who could take care of them but unfortunately do not cope with their responsibilities very well.
At the moment 15 kids between the age of 6 and 16 years old are staying at the shelter. Each of them has a difficult story. They all go to school but, due to their difficult situation, most of them have already failed at school a few times and their future is pretty much at risk. However they are very brave and it is a real pleasure and a life lesson to interact with them and the hard-working staff looking after them.
Money is however a big issue and the shelter is bleeding financially.
Ten more days to go and I'll leave the shelter. I cannot promise anything but I will try to help Khazimula once back home. I am having a really interesting time here.
I hope you don't suffer too much because of the heat and everybody is fine. It is pretty chilly here especially during the nights.
