Indonesia!! We arrive at the Denpasar airport to Balinese music (chimes, bells and twangs), the thickest humidity we have ever experienced and many many smiles. We are greeted as if our arrival was expected, long over due, and we are all long lost friends.
We are staying at the Sayang Hotel, which is in Legian, Bali (very nice part of Bali away from the busy Kuta region - if you look at the Bali Map, its the little narrow piece of land on the south of the island. Its a lovely hotel - Very clean, beautiful pool, free pool table, A/C in the room and hot water and a lanai too!!! All for $10/person. :D. The grounds are so beautiful too. We even get a free breakfast and the bar is open 24 hrs.
We have made many friends here already - almost immediately. Its a cool group of backpackers: from England, Scotland, Germany, Italy, Canada and Jakarta. Its so funny because everyone thinks we are SO exotic for coming from Hawaii. HAHAHAHA!! Its so funny. Everyone is just so curious about all things Hawaiian. We love Bali So so much and have said this already at least 5 times in the first day. "WE LOVE BALI!!!!!!"
