Jim and I were ready to leave the Bahamas. We'd been here for almost a month. The Bahamas are beautiful, but we have found them a bit to boring for us. We are in need of action, which is perfect, because we are on our way to South Beach, Miami.

Grant and Layne saw us off at the airport. Layne and I have become so close and she has taught me so much about myself. I will miss her and my brother very much.

When we arrived in Miami we checked into our studio condo we found through VRBO.com. It was smaller than I thought, but the location is perfect. We're located in South Beach,  the heart of it all on Ocean Dr. and 6th in the Barbizon building. It's the art deco area and is very cool. There are tons of European style restaurants, cafes, and night clubs. We arrived during art deco week so a portion of Ocean drive was blocked off and lined with tent canopies that displayed artists wares.

We quickly checked in, showered and dressed up for our night out. Miami is amazing! There is so much energy in the air. Everyone's into looking good, so fashion is huge here. We found a great restaurant called the Pelican and had an Italian waiter. By the way, its seems as though everyone is Italian here. About 75% of the language I hear on the street is Italian, the rest is Spanish and a bit of English. We had a great meal and headed over to Mango's, a tropical bar/restaurant where the waiters and waitresses dress in skimpy outfits and double as the go-go dancers. It has a Cuban feel and is full of energy. The dancers danced provocatively on the bar which we got good video of. Check it out! A reggae band started playing and Jim and I tore it up on the dance floor. It's been quite a while since we partied. We had a blast!
