Even so, I suited up in my full wetsuit and went out for a swim. The water was freezing! Much colder than Hawaii. On the way out, Grant showed me a large jellyfish. It was beautiful and I made sure to stay far away from its tenticles. I swam for about a mile and ran into beautiful starfishes and thousands of sand covered sand dollars noticeable only by the pathways they create in the sand. Green and purple corals with a large school of tiny fish hugged the cliff where the earth met the ocean
Surprisingly, there were no no-see-ums on the beach. Layne said it was too cold for them. Jim had been bitten alive by these "jaws with wings" back on Long Island. He must have easily had over 100 bites. We think that's what made him sick for 24 hours. Today we were lucky.
We had lunch in Governor's Harbour, about a 20 minute drive from Ten Bay where we discussed Grant's art business. Then we did some grocery shopping in town. Layne and Grant were stoked to find tofu as there was none on the island the last time they lived here 3 years ago. The rest of the day was spent on the internet, watching Layne's favorite show, "Project Runway" and learning new knitting stiches (cables).
