Felt fantastic this morning. Caught the bus into town. I signed up to do the canal bike tour- a paddlewheel boat with the three of us, Maxine, Andrea and I. It was harder then it looked, but so much fun. We ended in front of Anne Franks House. Before going in there, I found a post office and sent home my beerstein and 2 bottles of wine. Then Andrea, Simon and I got in line to go inside the secret Annex. Anne Frank was so famous, you hear about her story, and to actually go inside where they hid for over a year and see the tight corners... it was moving.
I am not a smoker, so trying pot was not on my list of things to do. Even says you have to when there, but I am 100% against drugs, due to close personal experiences. The smell of it is everywhere, you see the cafes, you walk past people who wreck of it. Yet I am proud to say I did not touch it!
Next we walked around, did some shopping, and tried to find the Heinken building, only couldn't, were tired and decided to head back to hotel to have a shower before tonight. Head back into town, to meet up with the group, and about 20 of us did the canal cruise. 2 drinks, and a look at Amsterdam from the canals. Before coming here I had no idea Amsterdam had canals.. but its a real pretty place.
After the cruise we had our final farewell dinner. It was in a chinese floating restaurant... definitely my least favourite meal. It was still good to be all togther one last time. I decided to take the bus back to hotel, instead of staying out all night. I relaxed at the hotel, enjoying my last day with the group and new friends I made.
