Day 3
Miles Traveled: 56
Weather: Beautiful
Meltdowns: 0 (yeah)
Today we went with Andy, Sandi, Ben and Maddie to the Erie County Fair (this year's theme is "Fair Fever"). For those of you (Zoe and Michael) who are aware that Paul's original vision for this trip included a stop at numerous State Fairs, only to have his dream shattered when none of the dates worked within our trip AND that we would miss our own Montgomery County Fair while on our trip, you will be glad to know that Day 3 brought a fun Fair opportunity. We had a blast at the Erie County Fair riding rides, eating junk food (can you say Chicken on a Stick) and visiting the agrarian wonders. Abby loved the rides, and even surprised us by letting go of her inner cautious girl and riding a kiddie rollercoaster and a pony named Mickey.
Then Jodie and Dave were nice enough to host a very fun BBQ at their house with our always fun cousins from the Slagor side of Ann's family, including cousins Chris, Sylvia, Jill and their families and even cousin Marlo in town from Atlanta. Always the comeptitive clan, this year it was Dave's very fun Bubble Hockey game that replaced the "Can Jam" wars of last summer. What fun.
