Had to say goodbye to Hannah and Jo today which was really sad. We'd had a great week with them, doing the sailing, the Greyhound and the white-water rafting, so many memories and laughs. I hope that it's not too long before we see them again.

Picked the campervan up though today which did make it less of a sad day. It's quite a nice size, not too big to drive, although getting it into 2nd gear is a little bit of a nightmare and requires quite a lot of brute force (my biceps are going to be huge after the 3 weeks!!)

Drove to Cairns and did a big food shop (I loved it!) and then I drove to Port Douglas. It was a bit nerve-wracking at times, especially as it was a windy coastal road that was a bit narrow in places. Still, I got us there in one piece.

Dougies (the resort we're staying in) is fantastic. There's a lovely pool with hammocks around it (they are very comfortable), a nice bar that has a good happy hour, games you can rent out of the bar, clean toilets/showers/kitchen area and nice pitches for your tents/campervans. We like it so much we've booked to stay for 3 nights!!

Didn't do much once we got there, it's so hot here at the moment (31 degrees!) that just lying around the pool and lazing in the hammocks takes it out of us (you hate me now don't you!).
