For some reason, Volkswagon is HUGE here (Mom, I see lots of Jettas and think of you). I think 60% of all the cars I see are VW's. There must be some explanation for this. I challenge you readers to discover the reason.
Adam this one is for you. I saw this weird-looking Audi truck that looks like a car from the front, but couldn't get a photo. I thought you might find it interesting.
Even in the middle of the countryside, like mountains and cactuses only, there is garbage everywhere! How does it get way out there? Does it blow all that way? My point is, Canada is very clean by comparison.
Pigs and Chickens
From the window of the bus, I saw a small pickup truck drive by with a dead, slaughtered sow filling the bed of the truck. It was uncovered and its neck had been slit. I know pigs are food, but it was still a little shocking. Also, there are people killing and deboning chickens in the markletplaces. Did you know that pinatas were originally live chickens that people hung up at New Years and beat to death?
1. I saw farmers using actual horses to plow their fields
2. The bottom third of all the trees in public places are painted white, and it looks nice.
3. They play oldies in the restaurants. Dad, I heard "Seasons in the Sun!" You love that one!
