I was hoping to be inspired to write my final "catch up" blog for the Quilotoa Loop in Ecuador. I am having a difficult time properly articulating my experience because it was so amazing- magical almost... and you know how there are certain things- moments- events that are better left alone for one's memory? I think that that particular week is one of those times. Even the photos don't seem to do justice to the beauty and the splendor of the things that I saw. If anyone wants to hear this story- might I suggest that we have a tea or a cocktail when I am back home and I will gladly share my experience! Until that time- here are the photos.
To Elliot and Jelle:
Thank you so much for a most amazing adventure. It was nothing less than an absolute pleasure to meet and travel with the two of you. What a privilege it was for me to experience the Quilotoa Loop in such fantastic company!
Elliot- without you I would never have found myself planting garlic- playing "gato"- eaten that FUNKY piece of whatever the heck that was- or sleeping on the floor in the crowded bedroom of Luis Rodrigo Casillas' lovely home. Good luck at MIT you big ole nerd! And don't forget to WAIT before telling potential girlfriends that you build ROBOTS! :)
Jelle- I don't know if I could have made it to Chugchilan without you or Sloopy. (I hope the lil guy is ok.) Thank goodness for the milk truck!!! Hope the ride didn't really make you sterile! ;) I will NEVER EVER forget the pleasure I felt from FINALLY having a shower... and a hot one at that- nor will I forget the joyous anticipation I felt as we waited for our pizza and lasagna!
I hope you guys enjoy the photos! I miss you both!
Much love to the both of you.
