Last night I just crashed. I was sooo tired I went to bed around 9:45pm and woke up at 7am. I felt GREAT! My body is definitely adjusting to the time difference which I thought it was going to be more difficult.

Today I walked around and took moterbikes around Saigon.  I did the typical sights that most tourist do. Nothing really stuck out all that much. The one thing that did is called Water Puppets.  Its AMAZING.  They put on short skits by using puppets in water. Its so much fun. I took videos of it so you all can see. Each skit they put on had a story line and traditional music.  I really hope I get to see more of this because it was just the coolest thing I've seen.

After my LONG day of walking and motorbiking around Saigon I went to get a massage for $2.50. I can't say it was that great of a massage but it was...somewhat relaxing.  The place I went to teaches people who are blind to give massages. It was a good experience but I think next time I'll go to a more reputable place.

Tonight I met back up with Jo and Ash and we went to a resturant that throws clay pots with rice. First they break the clay pot then they throw it aross the room.  It was sooo cool to see. I actually have video of that too. It was dark in the restuant and was hard to see. But I did catch on video one guy missing the rice throw and it splattering all over some poor person. It was really nice to see them again. I hope we'll see each other tomorrow.

Tomorrow I will be leaving for the Mekong Delta for 3 days/2 night. Jo and Ash are going for 1 day but I'm thinking positive that we'll start out on the same boat. The Mekong Delta The area is home to large numbers of rice fields. In 1997, in large part thanks to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam was the third largest exporter of rice globally after Thailand and India. In 1997, Vietnam was the world's second largest exporter of rice. Additionally, the region is home to large exports of basa fish, Tra catfish and shrimp, much of which is exported. I had basa fish tonight for dinner and it was really good. Its a white fish but with a kick.

Thanks so much for your emails and comments! Keep them coming :)

Going undercover!
I can't believe we won't hear from you for three days. The water puppets looked really good, and the rice throwing was something to watch. It looks like you're having fun. Us, we spent a real quiet day, reading books and doing chores.

Playing with your food.....
How many times have you been told not to play with your food? I know what happen.....this guy was playing with his rice (tossing it back and forth to his friend) when his Mom walked into restaurant, which threw his whole game off (she probably put him in time out - roflol)!

I hope your boat trip was successful.

Re: Playing with your food.....
Now Diane can you imagine getting paid to break pots and pans and throw rice around? Crazy, I know. I wish I could have that job! ;)
