I just finished my work day and I am outta here! New York schools have a week off in February called winter recess so I am taking advantage of it along with my cheap ticket, and traveling to Turkey for a week.

For those of you who are thinking, "Oh Allison, please make sure you checked your ticket this time." Don't worry, I have triple checked it and all is good. If you don't know what I'm talking about check out my Honduras blog to see what happened. I'm in the clear.

Since I am going in Turkey's winter, I am packing an aray of clothing. Everything from snow boats (thanks Kim for the lead on them. Bloomingdale's and I are tight like that), hat, gloves, to a tee-shirt, jeans, and flats. The weather I am expecting will be between 30's- 55 degrees. However, walking through open air markets and historical sites like Ephesus in cold weather isn't my idea of fun. Any one who knows me, knows that I HATE, I HATE cold weather. I broke out my ski clothing and my long john's are coming with me.

Have a ball, Allison! Ephesus is SO worth the trip. And I could've lived on the yogurt cheese and pita bread in Turkey-- I've tried to make my own at home, but can't come close. Hope you have warm weather and God bless
