We headed back to spend some time in the Daintree as we had to fly through it on the way up. We heard about a 4 day folk festival that was on so we headed to it. Only a half hour drive or so from the Lions Den. Watch out kiddies - thats not sand at the bottom of the slide - It is a cement block - hence the scratches on Nato's forehead. We met a few new friends and I tell you what, the camper trailer stood out a fair bit compared to all the other little dome tents. Lucky there was a teepee next to us to take away the attention. Great bands, heaps of things for the kids and a great atmosphere.
Unfortunately our plans of selling shares for spending money as we head around the country is now defunct. We have used our savings and will now have to sit for a bit and get some work. I am house sitting for Mum and Dad in Bowen for the next 6 weeks. I have even enrolled Kaila into school - she starts tomorrow. Brad is at Yeppoon doing some fibre-optic cable work and I will be joining him after here and we will visit on weekends. Our little trip is on hold but we will still be taking little side trips in the meantime. Next on schedule will be Byfield National Park!
