The last days at Sunwapta passed in a blur of sad goodbyes and eager countdowns for our own day to leave.

Each day we would awake and peak out the window to see if this was the night that the snow had actually accumulated on the resort. Thanksgiving weekend, the biggest flakes most of us had ever seen fell from the sky. We all congregated on the courtyard, faces aimed towards the sky attempting to catch flakes on our tongues.

There was also eating. Much decadent eating including the most gorgeous Goat Cheese & Mixed Greens salad (this had much to do with the outrageous quantity of cheese) at the equisite Andy's Bistro in town and a mind blowing seven delectable course thanksgiving dinner at the resort.

What else? Well there was hiking....

There was costume dressing....

There was animal sightings....

And there was drinking, there was lots of drinking....

Oh, and there was much clearing of water pipes and antifreezing, but we'll not speak too much of that.

More pics above....enjoy!!!
