Well peoples, it is entirely possible that I have just skied my last at the Fernie Alpine Resort. I was up today after a three day hiatus and the runs have gone from bad to worse.

At the bottom half of the hill I was literally waterskiing through massive puddles of water and slush. Even at the very top of the lifts there was patches of rocks and grass peaking through. Not happy about this at all. I think it is going to take a miracle storm of biblical proportions to get me back up there.

So please if you haven't already, start praying for some major dumps in the Canadian Rockies. If not for me, for the forest fire season that is predicted to kick in early due to dry conditions in these here parts.

If things don't take a dramatic turn shortly Chris and I have decided to kick the dust off and head out early on our road trip. The plan at the moment....meander down to Vancouver and hop the ferry to the island. Explore a little there, then head back to the mainland and north to Jasper. (Where hopefully in the next couple of days we will be informed that we have secured summer jobs there for the season) Anyone have tips on not to hit spots in the BC area?????
