Not much to update here.  We're anchored in a harbor in Grenada. Yesterday we hired a taxi tour and went around the island all day. It's really pretty, tropical.  Apparently Grenada is the Isle of Spices. They had a huge spice industry until it was wiped out by hurricane Ivan.  There are still plenty of fruit and spice trees - starfruit, bread fruit, avocados, coconuts, bananas, nutmeg, cinnamon. We also stopped at a market where every booth had tons of spices to buy, plus
extracts and coral jewelery and fruits I didn't recognize.  We stopped off at a waterfall and played around in the pool at the bottom.  Went and got some really good local food - fish, callalou, bread fruit, plantains, rice and peas.

Life on the boat is good so far. Conserving water is always a priority, so I've been bathing in the
ocean off the end of the boat, haha.  Clean is relative anyway, especially when it's hot and humid all the time.  Last night, Adam showed me how to make homemade humus from dried chickpeas, and another one from pigeon peas. We left them coarse, rather than pureeing them, so I can't compare it to normal humus, but it was delicious for what it was.

We found out that Grenada's Carnaval and Jouvert are next week, and we'd like to experience that. I think we're going to head up to Tobego Cays for a few days, do some scuba diving or snorkeling, hopefully see some turtles, then come back for Carnival, then head down to Guyana.
