Kosciuzko has been conquered!! Well, for us anyway. It was a good walk. The trail is mostly metal gridding which was put in about twenty years ago to allow the existing paths to regenerate. It was nice not to be treading on nature. We set off on this walk from Thredbo Village, which is much prettier to look at than Perisher and also seems to function more as a year round resort than winter retreat. We had to get a chairlift to the top of the ski slopes to begin the walk. It was fun though we were a little anxious as Bryan's not a huge fan of being suspended over heights. Anyways it turned out to be fun! It was a little expensive but these things often are I suppose.

Lots of dirt bikers were flying down the slopes as we ascended, and once at the top we could look back down at the forested valley. All the walk was above the tree line though there were wonderful views of everything below. The walk isn’t really too strenuous although we were shattered from the slog the previous day. It felt great to reach the top and be at the top of Australia! Really that has given me the ambition to get diving here in the next while so I can say I’ve been to the highs and lows of the land!
