Friday night saw us heading to World Bar in Kings Cross with some pals of ours. There we got teapots of alcoholic cocktails. Unfortunately you are not allowed to drink from the spout! So we made do with the shot glasses provided. A fun night was had by all...

Saturday and we decided to go on an epic walk to see Centennial Park, since we'd already been to Bicentennial Park a few weeks ago. We walked from our lodgings near Central Station through Surry Hills (felt like walking up a fifty degree incline!), past Moore Park and the Entertainment Quarter and to the rolling hills and lakes of Centennial Park. It was a really nice place to hang out with loads of picnics happening and people out strolling for the day. There is also a road to the south of the park called "Alison Road" - it's mine! Bryan still hasn't come across a road for him yet...

There were loads of birds in the lakes, including water hens, geese, various ducks and loads of black swans. These were so interesting, I hadn't one before. Sadly, I didn't get many pics because my camera is acting up. We got sand around the zoom function of the lens from the beach last weekend.

From Centennial Park we also got a cool view of the towering new builds in Bondi Junction. There's loads of signs for petitions to stop building developments on Bondi (maybe just the beach?) but for us these provided a great focal point and destination. We decided to head to the food court in Westfield Shopping Centre Bondi Junction to grab some food. After that we walked to Bondi beach and hung out there watching the massive waves crashing off the rocks before heading back to the city and

On the subject of food... there is so much great food here in Sydney. We've had a bit of everything, Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, western style and even Mexican. The quality is great and it's cheap. You can get rice and three different sauces for about nine dollars. I have got a thing about Indian food at the moment. Aloo matar - potato chunks and peas in curry sauce. Yum!

Hey Josie! Happy belated birthday! What did you get up to for it? Hope all is well at home. Sounds like ye have a hectic few weeks ahead. What's Tanya's little girl called? How many little ones does she have now?
Everyone's getting so old! Can't believe that Lesley's 21 already and Claire's 30.. I've been working here for the last 6 weeks and Ali's starting a job next week so everything is going well. We've been heading to the beach most weekends even though it's still too cold for swimming and were trying to do all of the tourist things here as well! Keep your comments coming - It's great to hear from you! Love Bryan & Ali
