So today we headed out to the beautiful Bicentennial Park and Olympic Park in Western Sydney. We rented bikes and explored miles of cyclepath through all types of parkland. From manicured lawns to meadows to forest to mangrove to the roadways of the Olympic Park complex.
Sydney Olympic Park is the only one which has not fallen to ruin after the end of the games ten years ago. All the venues are still used and also open to the public. The Bicentennial Park was an industrial wasteland which has been reclaimed and returned to nature. The excellent waterways ideal for an abundance of waterfowl. It was a pleasant day today when the sun was out, in the shade a little cool and the breeze was chilly. We did four hours of cycling and looking about. I'll let the pics speak for themselves...
