they weren't wrong when they said this country was efficient...our bags were waiting for us!! we stepped outside into a wall of 33 degree heat and 90% humidity......my god it was hot!!
singapore as a city takes some getting used to, but once you relax it is beautiful. the shopping is ace and so cheap! we found Raffels hotel pretty quick and indulged in a singapore sling - mmmmm, even managed to change Al's mind on cocktail drinking!!
we did manage to walk around the city (not without sweating half our body weight!) and the contrast in the buildings was amazing. from sky scrapers to old chinese buildings and marble cathedrals. beautiful.
