When we landed in Chicago we were so surprised to find it was boiling hot! Sam ad to go and buy a pair of shorts because we were caught out! Everyone had told us how windy and cold Chicago would be...it was a lovely surprise.

Once we had checked in to our hotel and were settled we went a saw 'the bean' which was awesome, we got some very cool pictures from it. We wondered around the city, such a cool place, felt a lot like New York just a bit more relaxed.

Obviously when it came to lunchtime there was only one thing we needed to have...a deep pan pizza! I cannot explain to you how big this pizza was.. check out the picture. Sam and I managed to eat one slice eat and we were done.

That evening we went to The Signature Room, 95th floor of the John Hancock Centre. This is a must for people visiting Chicago, the views are incredible Chicago lights up at night and the magnificent mile is just stunning. The best view is from the girls toilets!

The main event for us in Chicago was going to a 3 Michelin star restaurant called Alinea. Grant Achatz the owner of Alinea has a very touching story, and his food speaks volumes about his character. From the moment we walked in the front door we knew that we were about to experience something very special.

We really enjoyed Chicago and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Until next time, all our love
Xxx Alex and Sam xxX
