After Hoi An we jumped on a train to Nha Trang which took around 10 hours. We arrived at our hotel only to be told by our concierge that the hotel was overbooked and we would be staying at the hotel across the road for 2/6 nights. After a 10 hour train journey (with a broken seat) we weren't in the mood to make a fuss so we headed over. The hotel was standard and considering we had paid £50 for 6 nights we weren't expecting anything spectacular. Our first day we went straight to the beautiful beach which was literally a 2 minute walk from our hotel.

Sam was quickly become beached out and decided that he would buy some cheap fishing gear to keep him entertained (whilst I worshiped the sun) but also something good enough to take to Oz with him. We spent the whole day moving along the beach trying to find the perfect spot for him to land some big fish. It worked out eventually and along the way Sam even acquired a little fan club.

We moved into our original hotel and surprisingly it was really decent - for what we paid it was great. Located in the perfect area, helpful staff and good facilities. The next day we visited Vinpearl Adventure Park which is located on the island opposite Nha Trang beach. It was a reasonable price and such a good day out! We got the cable car there which is apparently one of the longest in the world! There is a beach, water park rides, theme park rides an arcade an aquarium which was one of the best aquariums I have been to.

On Nha Trang beach at night you will find people selling and cooking fresh seafood, needless to say Sam and I had lobster, crabs, clams, scallops, prawns and a snail which Sam ate (Blurghh). After our delicious meal we headed to a backpackers bar, had a few too many cocktails and ended up getting a Bahn Mi (spicy meat baguette) on the way home haha.

Then we got on a bus which took us to Delat, it's really quiet in Dalat and has a strong French influence with patisseries and villas everywhere. It was a nice relaxing place but it was so cold compared to everywhere else we have been so far (I had to wear jeans!). We took a trip to the Dalanta Waterfalls which was interesting and had a go on the luge ride which was fun!

We are now in Ho Chi Minh City after a 40 minute flight and are just waiting to check into our hotel. The hotel is located smack bang in the centre of backpackers district and bars and restaurants are plentiful. We are planning to pack the next four days with day trips as there's a lot to see here.

That's all for now!
Love from
