Today was our last day in Bangkok so we headed to the Grand Palace. We arrived and realised that we needed to be wearing long trousers and sleeved tops. (we both had shorts and I had a vest on). Located all around the palace were little stalls selling clothing as alot of tourists turn up to the palace and do the exact same thing as us. We decided that going all the way back to our hotel would be silly so we got some clothes from one of the sellers, at first I felt like a bit of a wally but then as soon as we got inside and realised I wasn't the only one that looked stupid I soon forgot about it!

The palace was amazing, the various temples covered in colourful glass tiles and statues decorated in gold leaf. The Thai people really take thier religion seriously and they were laying flowers, putting water on each other and bowing and praying when inside the temple. It was nice to be submerged in thier culture for the day but it would have been much better if we had a tour guide (they were just too expensive!!)

We got back home and decided to head into Pat Pong which is one of the famous red light districts. There is also a really cool night market there which many people had recommended to us. We arrived at about 9.30pm and it was already buzzing with loud bars, market stools and girls trying to drag us into go-go bars! It was a fun night and most definitely one that will never be forgotten!!
