Alex: 1st day in Alaska. We walked the Tony Knowles Coastal trail which starts downtown. Really beautiful - mountains to all sides, the photos don't do it justice. Our aim was to get to earthquake park but our thirst got the better of us and we turned back, we later realised we were about 5 mins from the park but we though we had passed and missed it! walked back via mid-town - very boring and very straight roads - something I think we will have to get used to!

Then on to the Anchorage Museum of History and Art. Loads of Native Alaskan Artifacts (including the stuffed bear and moose in the photos and a musk oxen) a bit of Alskan art (usually paintings of Denali (aka Mt Mckinley)) and an odd exhibition with lots of stuffed eagles, falcons etc explaining how their numbers are rapidly declining (not mentioning it was because most of them were stuffed in the exhibit!)

Ate our tea in a nice bar called humpy's (halibut burger yum) which also served a really good Alaskan Microbrew - and as you know good beer always makes me happy - the only down side is US pints are slightly smaller than UK ones, damn

Great Pictures- love the bear and moose!
:-D)))
Looking forward to more.
Here at W-s-M it was the big Pop concert on the beach today. Will Young was one of many pop people on stage.
You could not see the beach for people, and we could hear it from our patio.
:-)
Where are you now?
