Another lazy day – although today we did actually manage to leave the villa. We took a trip to Choeng Mon - a small bay with everything you would expect: white sand, blue-green water, coconut palms, verdant isle a kilometre out, the usual.

The day mainly consisted of sitting on a sun lounger with the odd dip in the warm shallow water – you can walk out about 100m with the water just skimming your waist.

For tea we walked a bit further than other nights – to find a restaurant that doesn't offer 'Thai and Western food’ with no bar girls outside. My theory is if they give you plastic plates and glasses you’re onto a winner. The place we found didn’t quite have plastic glasses but my red curry was still awesome.
