Where I stayed
What I did
Pretty overcast today and lots of rain last night (it nearly drowned out the roar of the Indian Ocean).
We had breakfast overlooking the stunning views and, on the recommendation of our host, scrapped our canoeing plans for a trip to the Cango Caves.
It was a longer drive than we expected (1 1/2 hours) but it took in some spectacular scenery and we even got to see our first baboons. Even better, on the other side of the mountains it was a beautiful clear day.
We chose to do the 'adventure' tour - a longer walk through the caves with some obstacles in the way.
The early caves are enormous - apparently they used to hold concerts here and seated 1,000 people. Off the main track we had to squeeze, clamber and scrabble through some pretty tight spots - the worst being the Devil's Chimney (always have to get Beelzebub in there with these things) - a tight 3m-ish clamber up some very slippery rocks. It was more adventure that I've come to expect from these things (in a good way) I just hope the bruises on my knees subside before the wedding.
More spectacular seafood for tea at The Girls - I need to learn how to cook squid like that.
