We got out for that walk today. We drove to Parque Natural de Urkiola and into the valle de Atxondo. The drive itself was amazing, especially coming down into the valley - a real wow moment. We intended (once again) to do a nice gentle walk, admiring the mountains from below. Instead we ended up scrambling up to a pass between two peaks.

It was magnificent though and well worth the effort. There are hills/mountains around San Sebastian, round and tree covered but these were rocky and jagged - proper mountains. It was fairly hairy going down though.

BBQ at the tent to round off the day perfectly.
