Where I stayed
Passed through the Chile-Arg border by bus without any hassle. The views on the Argentina side were beautiful. Passed snow covered mountains, lakes and autumn coloured trees as we headed down towards the lake and Bariloche.
The place was full of wood and stone buildings with a nice big church in the centre and lots and lots of chocolate shops...perfect for easter! We watched the sunset over the mountains at the other side of the lake and wandered around the streets.
Caught a bus the next day to Buenos Aires. It cost a huge 60pounds and we sat there for 2 hours with a guy telling us its coming but is running late. We joked about a bus that left saying imagine if that was ours....only to find out it was! So off it went without us. We managed to talk our way out of buying a whole new ticket and instead paid a 20% cancellation fee and the cost of an upgrade to a better bus.
It was a good bus though, the seats just about fully reclined and we were served meals and wine along the way, it was like flying business class.
