We took the train (kind of like the GO train) to Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. It took 2 hours and was cheap compared to the train ticket from the airport. We went for a walk around the mountain area and saw some amazing views and the "Three Sisters" which were pretty but ... I guess, like Kyra said, if you hadn't seen mountains before they would have been better.
